Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how 12:2 Ventures LLC, doing business as Lets1UP, handles information when you use lets1up.com and the Lets1UP party software (together, the “Service”).

Information we collect

We collect information you give us when you buy, redeem or ask us about the Service: your email address, license and order details, and the contents of your support request. A host may enter player names, team assignments and scores to run an event.

We collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as device, browser, IP address, log and connection information. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider, not stored by Lets1UP.

We receive purchase and payment-status information from our payment provider, and receive information from analytics and advertising providers when their technologies run.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies in the Service, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and PostHog. These store a cookie and a randomly generated identifier on your device.

Where we advertise the Service, we also use these technologies for advertising: to understand which advertisements and platforms bring people to us, whether a visit that began with an advertisement led to a purchase, and to show advertisements and content chosen for you on this site and on other services. Advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies for this purpose and may combine what they see here with what they see elsewhere.

Analytics tells us things such as which pages and screens were opened, which features were used, how the Service performed, and whether a purchase completed. We use it to keep the Service reliable, understand what people find useful, and confirm that buying works.

Where your consent is required before we may use these technologies, including in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, none of this runs until you accept it: until you do, none of these technologies loads and no cookie of theirs is set. Elsewhere they run by default, and you can turn them off at any time with the “Cookie Preferences” button at the foot of any page on this website. We also honor a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of this tracking. Either way, declining is a complete answer and the site works the same.

Preferences you set, such as the color scheme and your answer to the cookie question, are stored on your device and are not analytics.

What happens at your party is not sent to an analytics or advertising service: player names, teams and scores are used to run the event and synchronize the host devices in that event.

How we use information

We use information to provide the Service, process purchases and refunds, run and support an event, prevent fraud or misuse, improve reliability, and comply with law.

We do not sell personal information for money. The advertising cookies described above may still count as a “sale” or as “sharing” under some state privacy laws, including California’s, because they let advertising providers use what they see here to reach you elsewhere. Declining, or changing your answer with the “Cookie Preferences” button at the foot of any page, stops that.

When we share information

We share information as needed to operate the Service: with Stripe for payments, Supabase for the party service and license records, Resend for license delivery, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, and Google and PostHog for the analytics technologies described above. These providers handle information under their own terms and, where applicable, our instructions.

Where we are advertising and you have accepted cookies, we also share information with advertising providers, who use it for the purposes described above and under their own terms rather than only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect people, rights or property, or in connection with a business transfer.

Children's information

Hosts are responsible for having authority to enter player information. Do not send us a child's contact details, photographs or other unnecessary personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us and we will review and delete it where appropriate.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including to provide access and support, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping obligations. You may also contact us with a privacy question or complaint.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or an extension sends it, we treat it as a refusal: none of the technologies described above loads, and we do not ask you the cookie question. You can change your answer to the cookie question at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” button at the foot of any page on this website. You can also refuse or delete the cookies described above in your browser settings, use a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal, or use a browser extension that blocks trackers. The site is built to work either way: nothing about buying, reading or using what you bought depends on analytics. Google also publishes an add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that turns Google Analytics off on every site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
