A round of Grand Slam, ping-pong party games on your TV
Red leads 9–4 when the board calls a Lucky Bounce, the bonus round that turns up after every third game. Ben and Freddie step up to bounce ping-pong balls off the table and into a cup. Blue takes it 2–1 and draws an Overtime card, which changes how a game is played and never what it pays.
Blue is still behind, so Blue still picks, and the pick is Buzzer Beater: two against two, sinking balls into cups marked 1, 2 and 3, with teammates fetching the strays. Ben and Alfie against Thomas and Oscar, with a banner across the screen saying Blue’s points count triple.
Blue wins it 5–3. Two points become six, Red banks one, and the board reads 10–10. A table, some cups and a bag of ping-pong balls did that. The TV carried the rules, the clock and the score.
